Youth Learn Environmental Project Monitoring
Recently, The Center's Restoration Projects Manager, Kellen Johnston, provided education and training to our youth environmental crew members on how to complete initial project monitoring. In this project, the youth are working to remove French Broom, an invasive plant species. Prior to removal, the youth, along with Kellen, conducted initial monitoring to gather data to aid in assessing the impact of their removal efforts over the next several years. Monitoring is an essential skill for youth interested in working in the environmental sciences.
