SUMMER EMPLOYMENT
● Sonoma County Youth Ecology Corps
The Sonoma County Youth Ecology Corps
(SCYEC) provides summer employment for youth and young adults.
Program participants develop job skills and receive
work-readiness training; including job search, resume building, and
interview skills. SCYEC is a
collaboration between
the Sonoma County Water Agency, the Workforce Investment Board, Youth
Council, the Sonoma County Human Services Department, and the Sonoma
County Office of Education.
Projects Include:
- Creek clean-up
- Native plant maintenance
- Park beautification
- Non-native plant removal
- Community garden install
- Cavity-nesting bird

Crew
The City of Healdsburg partners with
The Center to provide paid summer internships for high school age
Healdsburg youth to
perform debris removal, minor home repairs and property maintenance for
elderly residents of moderate and low income living
within Healdsburg’s redevelopment area.
Projects Include:
- Painting
- Garden beautification
- Minor home repair
- Property maintenance
- Park beautification
