The Center was
originally incorporated in 1976
under the
name Circuit Rider Productions to offer pro-social
programming and service-learning activities to at-risk youth. Since
that time The Center has grown to become largest multi-service social
and environmental service agency in Sonoma County with offices located
in Windsor, Santa Rosa, and Cloverdale.
The
Center's responsive
programming, dedication and performance has earned us our reputation as
an innovative, well-respected community based non-profit organization. The
Center recognizes the interdependent link between the health of an
individual person, the greater community, and the natural environment.
The
Center delivers culturally sensitive services in both English and
Spanish. For more than 20 years our staff has utilized evidence-based
practices in the delivery of mental health services throughout
Sonoma County. We provide youth, families, and adults with guidance,
mentoring, counseling, and community service opportunities designed to
develop pro-social and work-ready skills, while achieving their unique
positive human potential.
As
stewards of the environment, The Center employs our extensive knowledge
of Sonoma County ecosystems to design and implement a complex array of
restoration projects including watershed planning, ecological
restoration, natural resource mapping and service-learning activities.
In our native plant nursery we cultivate plants for habitat restoration
projects throughout northern California.
MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission is to
support community members to
become
stewards of their own lives, the lives of others and the
environment in which we all live.
