In cooperation with Federal Workforce Investment Act, Sonoma County Human Services Department, The Center’s Workforce Development Programs empower youth and adults to reach personal career goals through a variety of educational, vocational and job preparation programs.

●  YouthWORKS

YouthWORKS is a unique program for youth and young adults ages 14-24 that teaches crucial  job skills while exploring career opportunities through service to their community.  The YouthWORKS program provides youth with job training and internship placement, life skills workshops, counseling, education and leadership development.

●  SonomaWORKS is an employment assistance and training and job retention program developed to meet the needs of Sonoma County residents who receive Temporary Aid to Needy Families.  The employment workshops and job search assistance support offer a variety of services tailored to meet the specific needs of each individual.  These services are geared to helping participants prepare themselves to compete for, obtain, and retain employment and to become independent of public assistance.  Participants are referred to the Program by Sonoma County.

●  Mentoring

In collaboration with the WorkAbility Program at Healdsburg High School students are placed with a Mentor and provided guided work experience in The Center’s native plant nursery.
