VISTA ACADEMY
In partnership with Sonoma
County Juvenile Probation, The Center provides an Alternative to Detention Evening Reporting Center for
youth who
are court wards and need intensive structure and services to change
behavior.
The Vista Academy Program is highly structured
and operates 6
days per week and delivers evidence-based, cognitive-behavioral
interventions and numerous pro-social development opportunities
designed to interrupt delinquency and reduce the likelihood of re-arrest for court-ordered youth.
Vista Academy is structured to allow referred youth to
continue to attend school, live at home, and attend their required
court
hearings.
PROJECT YES
Youth
Empowerment Services is a collaboration between The
Center and Sonoma County Juvenile
Probation. This program delivers evidence-based programming
designed to increase pro-social behaviors in gang-involved court referred youth.
FUNCTIONAL FAMILY THERAPY
The Center's Functional Family Therapy (FFT)
program is delivered to families of Sonoma County juvenile probationers
ages 12 to 17. The FFT program builds on The Center's existing
responsive and culturally sensitive services. As an
evidence-based treatment protocol, FFT follows a systematic map that
guides a continuous cycle of clinical assessments and interventions.
Our program is designed to meet families where they are most
comfortable, understand and encourage their natural social networks and
provide culturally responsive services as an integral part of the
treatment.
ANGER MANAGEMENT
In collaboration with Sonoma County Juvenile Probation, The Center offers a 10-week course
in Anger Management to court referred youth between the ages
of 12 and 17. The Center's staff are Certified Anger
Management Facilitators and follow the Anderson and Anderson model of
anger management intervention. This intervention model is the
only anger management trainig approved by the State of California for
the training of Probation, Parole, and Correctional Officers. The
10-week Anger Management course assists clients in mastering four
important skills: 1) managing anger, 2) managing stress, 3)
communicating assertively, and 4) demonstrating emotional intelligence.
